ARTISTIC APPROACH
As a painter she aims to create bright, casual, colourful abstract works that trigger visual stimulation and a sense of happiness. She invites her audience to discover the beauty that blurs the boundaries between the real world around us and what lies deep within us.
Being a perfectionist and organized, abstract painting is a liberating exercise for her. When she paints, she only think about her composition, the hues and the texture of the medium. She is always driven by an insatiable desire to create and she paints without imposing limits on herselft, escaping the standards of the visible world. Abstract art also allows her to reconnect with the child in her. She rediscovers her innocence, her vulnerability and her spontaneity.
Strongly inspired by the Colour Field painting movement, she orchestrates colours to make them the main subject of her work. The colour, the icon of her works, unfolds on large surfaces by combining lines and imperfect geometric forms.
Fascinated by the nobility of oil paint, its arrival in her studio, more than a year ago, has revived her creativity. She loves the richness of its texture that she explores with a brush. The thick paste of oil paint characterizes the texture of many of her paintings. Moreover, she paints horizontally (the canvas being placed on the ground) because she benefits from a proximity that allows her to maintain a close relationship with the piece. An important part of her creative process is that once the work is completed, she determines the final orientation of the work.
